We are of the opinion that that the only thing Vilnius still needs in order to become a truly European city is more bicycles. We would like to see Lithuania\u2019s capital, our beloved Vilnius, as a truly \u201cvelo\u201d city, and we therefore strive to create it as such.<\/p>\n<p><strong>VELO-CITY TEAM 2013<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/velovilnius.lt\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/09\/theteam2013-e1370960036642.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-medium wp-image-4098\" src=\"http:\/\/velovilnius.lt\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/09\/theteam2013-e1370960036642-300x291.png\" alt=\"theteam2013\" width=\"300\" height=\"291\"\/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>HISTORY<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Velo-City brand had its beginnings in 2008, when Frankas Wurft, Jonas Dovyd\u0117nas and Dainius Lanauskas established the corporation \u201cBalticCycle.\u201d Jonas and Dainius are also responsible for the establishment of&nbsp;Velotaksi&nbsp;services in Vilnius. Frankas Wurft is an active board member of The Lithuanian Cyclists\u2019 Community, one of the founding members of the English and German informational website&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.balticcycle.eu\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">www.balticcycle.eu<\/a>&nbsp;about cycling in the Baltic States, and administrator of the Lithuanian informational website&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.dviratis.lt\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">www.dviratis.lt<\/a>&nbsp;for cycling fans in Lithuania.<\/p>\n<p>Today, Frank Wurft remains as the director of Velo-City, but Dainius Lanauskas and Jonas Dovyd\u0117nas are never far away.
