The logistics went smoothly for us, and the bikes worked well.

    As a native German who has been living in Lithuania for over twenty years, Frank has a broad perspective on the country, its people and the culture. He is very knowledgeable about Lithuania's complex history, answering all of our many questions with informative responses. His lively explanations, spiced with personal interpretations, brought the city's history to life, and helped us to understand the forces still at work shaping the country.

    Highlights of the tour, in addition to the Old Town, included Soviet-era neighborhoods in the north of the city, a village of old wooden houses nestled between modern skyscrapers, and Vilnius's beautiful parks.

    I would recommend this tour highly to anyone interested in having a fun bike ride that leads to a more in-depth understanding of Vilnius and Lithuania than can be found in the typical guide book.

  • star rating  Our guide Frankas took us on the contrasts tour giving us local insight into the city and to places we would possibly have missed ( republic/village ) . stopping at... read more a lovely restaurant in an unusual place for some traditional (and cheap) dishes. the 4-5 hours passed so quickly and although a couple of hills had to be walked up We would highly recommend.
